Ayomi Ratnayake

Ayomi is a Research Teaching Specialist in the Reynolds Family Spine Laboratory.  Ayomi applies laboratory expertise and scientific acumen when conducting daily experiments studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern neuronal pathology, neuronal protection and regeneration in spinal cord injury and inflammation.

Ayomi  joined the Reynolds Family Spine Laboratory after working at Asiri Surgical Hospital, Sri Lanka,  where she was a laboratory scientist.  Prior to that, she performed research at the University of California, Irvine and at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.

Ayomi graduated from Willamette University with Bachelor of Science Degree. She completed graduate studies with a Masters Degree in Microbiology form the University of Georgia, Athens, GA.
